We are concerned about the mental health of young people. One in five young people suffers from a psychological problem. Depression and anxiety, in particular, are common. We hope that through the Mental Health Art Tour, young people will start talking about their mental health and that it will become just as normal to visit the GP for a psychological complaint as for a broken leg.

In collaboration with partners, young people are given the opportunity to open up in a safe environment, and through creating art combined with a virtual and interactive experience, they acquire new skills that help them face life with resilience.

This traveling edition of the MHAT exhibition can be seen in (sports) schools and at festivals. New striking portraits of inspiring influencers, selected by and for young people. We do not do this alone, but together with partners. One of them in particular: Transformer Community.

The Transformers Community is specifically for young people between 16 and 27 who sometimes find life quite challenging. Here, they are given the space to discover who they are and what they want at their own pace, together with others going through the same thing.

It features new, striking portraits of inspiring influencers, selected by and for young people. We are not doing this alone, but together with partners. One of them in particular: Taboeiend.

This experience was developed by YouTubers Dylan Haegens and Marit Brugman in collaboration with the Vincent van Gogh Mental Health Institute and with many experts and young people themselves.

The MHAT@School Program starts in early 2025. This traveling edition of the MHAT exhibition will be on display in schools. It features 10 new, striking portraits of inspiring influencers, selected by and for young people. During this experience, young people will also have the opportunity to open up in a safe environment and, through creating art combined with a virtual and interactive experience, acquire new skills that help them face life with resilience. We are not doing this alone, but together with partners. One of them in particular: Taboeiend.

TABOEIEND

The interactive experience is for first and second-year secondary school students. Through various games and videos, they learn more about mental health issues, enabling them to recognize symptoms earlier and seek help for mental health problems. This experience was developed by YouTubers Dylan Haegens and Marit Brugman in collaboration with the Vincent van Gogh Mental Health Institute, as well as with many experts and young people themselves.
