" If I don't have red,

I use blue." - Pablo Picasso

For 2025, there are still a few spots available to book the MHAT for your organization or event. Please contact us to discuss the possibilities. Art is inspiring and creates a pleasant, stimulating environment. Moreover, it underscores and reinforces the message of mental health.

Over de Mental Health Art Tour

The Mental Health Art Tour is an art project about mental health — open, personal, and without big words. Through portraits and audio stories, well-known and unknown people share their stories: about what has shaped them, what has touched them, and how they cope with the ups and downs of life.

Speaking Portraits

Behind every portrait lies a voice. Sometimes recognizable, sometimes surprising, but always human. By looking and listening, space is created for reflection and conversation — with yourself and with each other. The works travel to schools, events, festivals, and organizations. Not to explain or solve anything, but to be present. To show that mental health is something that touches us all. You don't have to do anything, think anything, or understand anything. Just look. To listen. And take away what stays with you.

10 portraits, 10 stories.

Irene Hoff – a Dutch artist based in Bali – created a first series of portraits for the Mental Health Art Tour. The subjects all deal with setbacks and challenges in their own way. Hopefully, their experiences will become a source of inspiration for others. The face is central to every canvas. This forms the source for the rest of the work. The result is a mixed-media artwork with many visible and less visible details that amaze and stimulate the viewer to discover more.

Mind Your Mind Expo

The Mind Your Mind Edition is a traveling exhibition that uses art and storytelling to open up mental health for young people. Well-known DJs such as Armin van Buuren, Ruben de Ronde, and Ferry Corsten candidly share their personal experiences with pressure, adversity, and recovery. Each portrait tells a story in itself. Via a QR code, visitors can listen to their audio stories and discover practical tips to stay mentally fit. The exhibition connects art, music, and technology and travels to festivals, schools, and cultural venues—places where young people gather and recognize themselves. The works are by photographer Brendan de Clercq, Peter Donkersloot, Astris Vos, and Collete van Ojik. The collection was officially launched during ADE 2025.
