Jörgen Raymann

Listen here to the audio clip of Jörgen Raymann, portrayed by artist Irene Hoff, as part of the Mental Health Art Tour. Subject: Bankruptcy & Informal Care.

Jörgen Raymann is a renowned comedian and programme maker who currently runs a corporate consultancy. He is also a caregiver for his wife. In 2016, Jörgen lost his permanent position at the NPO, and it became known that he was struggling with enormous debts. He lived a luxurious lifestyle, sometimes spending thousands of euros a day. Jörgen has also endured difficult moments, such as the loss of his sister Peggy, drug use, and the discovery of a tumor. Now he says: "I was an arrogant jerk, now I am self-confident." With his portrait and story, we are drawing attention to caregivers and the loneliness that often accompanies this task.
