MAT @ A'DAM Toren

Overhoeksplein 1, 1031 KS Amsterdam

Life isn't always easy – pressure to perform, expectations, and social media make it tough sometimes. But everyone has ups and downs, and that is precisely what we should be more open about. Let's be there for each other. Every face has a story.

Inspiring portraits & art

Discover portraits of Armin van Buuren, Brennan Heart, DJ JEA, Simon Keizer, and singer Elize, among others. Via QR codes, you can hear their personal stories – honest and relatable.

The works of Peter Donkersloot, Astrid Vos, Colette van Dijk, Irene Hoff, and Brendan de Clercq show how strength, vulnerability, and creativity come together.

Why visit?

Mind Your Mind is about resilience, perspective, and openness – together. The message: “It is okay to have a bad day.”

And after that…

After ADE, the exhibition will travel to schools, festivals, and concerts – to open even more conversations about mental health. More to come.

While it is often assumed that traffic accidents pose the greatest threat to young lives, the figures reveal a shocking reality: suicide is the leading cause of death among young people in the Netherlands. It is time to break the silence and make mental health an open topic of discussion.

MAT @ ASOT DAY PROGRAM

In collaboration with the City of Rotterdam, the Mental Health Art Tour delivers a powerful message about mental health with a special exhibition at the Mainport Hotel during the State of Trance Day Program. This initiative, which brings together art and personal stories, stimulates conversations about mental well-being and helps break societal taboos.

For this occasion, the impressive portraits and personal stories of Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, and Ruben de Ronde take center stage. Visitors can listen to their candid stories via QR codes next to each artwork.

The exhibition features works by renowned artists such as Peter Donkersloot, Irene Hoff, and photographer Brendan de Clercq.

The Mental Health Art Tour (MHAT), initiated by Tamara Swart, uses art as a means to open meaningful conversations about mental health and raise awareness.
